I am thankful that as I look forward to getting together with the people I love this week, that my body is relaxed and I know that our time together will be peaceful and joyful. That being together is far more important than what the table looks like or how the turkey turns out.
That was not always the case. Growing up, holiday preparations were always filled with angst and tension…the pressure for the holiday gathering to be ‘just perfect’ took all the fun out of it.
So, by the time the actual gathering took place we were all so tired and our nerves were frayed that it was very hard to find a way to enjoy being together.
I always thought my family was the only one that did not know how to have a happy holiday.
Through my years of coaching my clients, though, I know that most people feel the way I did…and still do.
In fact, they tell me they expect to swallow more upsets than turkey during their family gatherings in order to keep the peace.
So, I recorded an audio coaching session for them on how to keep their sanity during the holidays.
I would love to know what you feel about the tips we share and if you feel they will make a difference for you. Thanks for commenting below once you’ve had a chance to listen. (Hopefully sooner rather than later when the holiday hecticness is at it’s highest.)
