Today we will focus on training your brain in stages to achieve your goals.
Consider the 4 stages of goal achievement as similar to the stages of the growth of a rose bush: Seeding, Sprouting, Blooming and Resting
It is important for your mind to identify what stage of the cycle your goal is in so that you can schedule the most appropriate and effective activities for that particular stage.
During the Seeding stage, it is important to train your mind to expect that it is going to take a while and a lot of concentrated energy focused on the goal. Otherwise, you could become very frustrated and disappointed and then stop your activities before reaching the Sprouting stage.
You will know your goal is in the Sprouting stage when you begin to produce tangible results from your activities…just like the stalk of the rose bush popping up through the ground.
You will know the goal has reached the Blooming stage when you experience the results that you had intended all along – paying clients and increased income if you are growing a business. If you are a rose bush…the blooming stage is when the roses come into full bloom.
And you will know your goal is in the Resting stage, when the activities you were doing and that had produced results…are no longer producing the same results! This when your mind might tell you something is wrong. Be careful!
Just like a rose bush…the roses will stop blooming for a period of time. It does not mean that something is wrong with the bush. It only means that it is time to rest, rejuvenate and plan for the next cycle.
