Most people have been taught to sell from their mind instead of their heart.
As a result, they are not able to create an emotionally satisfying experience for their leads and prospects, so they have a very difficult time selling their product or service.
Yet, studies have proven people don’t buy based on facts.
They buy based on how they feel and then back up the decision with facts.
They want to feel in alignment or affinity with the salesperson or the message being shared by that person.
They want to feel that the salesperson understands and genuinely cares about their problems, issues, and concerns. And they want to feel the salesperson can and will solve those problems through the product or service they are selling.
Alignment is the connection from the heart to the ears to the mouth.
Because of the sales training previously mentioned, many salespeople are missing this pathway because they haven’t been encouraged to explore if and how their core values are in alignment with how and what they are selling.
They have not identified how being a salesperson is in alignment with their purpose or ‘calling.’

As a result, they have not created an emotionally satisfying experience for themselves with what they are selling.
Without a connection with your products or services—a personal passion for what you sell—you cannot be in alignment with your prospects. And without that alignment, you will have a much harder time making sales.
